Tusm valley, Manaslu and Annapurna circuit Trek

Tusm valley Manaslu and Annapurna circuit Trekking, Tsum valley is one of the most secret and incredible valleys. Various ethnic communities reside in this picturesque and tranquil valley, each maintaining their own unique rituals, culture and lifestyle. The local people are mostly of Tibetan origin and speak a unique dialect. Trails are strewn with artistic chortens and lined with mani walls made of thousands of stone slabs carved with deities and prayers. The Tsum Valley has a long history of Buddhism, and the Buddhist saint Milarepa is believed to have meditated in the caves of these mountains. Tsum Valley is an offshoot valley of the famous Manasulu trek, which circumnavigates the towering Manaslu peak. Standing at 8156m, it is the 8th tallest in the world.

This trek crosses the stunning Larkya La Pass at 5100m and finally emerges onto the Marshyangdi river valley along the main trail of Annapurna circuit. You will have two options how to conclude your trek. The short version continues down the Annapurna trail, descending along the Marshyangdi river valley through the rhododendron & oak forests and finally concludes at Besi Sahar. From there we drive back to Kathmandu. This shortens the trip to about 24 days.

The longer version, described here continues up and around the Annapurna Circuit and over Throung La Pass (5416m) for a grand Himalayan circuit combining Manaslu, Tsum Valley, and Annapurna into one magical journey of 32 days. You can either fly out of Jomsom, take a jeep down from Jomsom, or continue trekking down if you your schedule allows. Any physically fit person can do this trip anytime from Mar to May (spring season) and Sept to Nov (autumn season)
